Denise received her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1983. Shortly after this achievement she decided to expand her education and knowledge in Women’s Health. She graduated as part of the inaugural Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner program at Down State Medical Center.
Having been in practice for over 20 years Denise has had the opportunity to see her patients through both difficult and happy times. She works with a consortium of other professionals that allow her to give treatment options along all lines of Women’s Healthcare. Denise stays with her patients and helps guide them through the process of getting well.
Denise stays on top of the most current treatment and diagnostic protocols. She says, “As a Nurse Practitioner I have a unique opportunity to give quality and meaningful services to women of all ages on a level that did not exist 20 years ago”.
Denise sees women for general gynecology including pap smears and contraception options. She also continues to provide ante and post-partum care for a limited number of patients. She limits this part of the practice so that she can personally care for all of the needs of her patients during this euphoric yet medically significant time.
Denise also provides on-site treatment options for common gynecological conditions. She insists that she offer her patients a broad spectrum of options. Denise understands that each patient must be an active participant in their healthcare. She spends a considerable amount of time with each and every patient to insure that they are both on the same page. She says, “I am at my professional best when I am able to keep this aspect in mind as I give care to the women who allow me to participate in their healthcare”.
